About Me

I was born during the final exams of the computer science Master’s program of the University of North Texas. I moved to Kuwait after the bankruptcy of the Arthur Andersen Consulting company and to Beirut before the assassination of Rafic Hariri. I temporarily called Cairo my home during the fall of Saddam Hussein’s regime, and escaped to Amman by car on a hot summer’s day, one week after the Israeli invasion of Beirut. I moved to Abu Dhabi in the midst of the country’s rise, and straight back to Beirut upon my graduation. I moved to Washington DC during the Arab Springs, and straight back to Beirut upon its calm. I temporarily called Cairo my home, once more, after the pink atomic blast in Beirut. And finally, to Milan after the awakening and epiphanies of a Pandemic.

About My Design Ideologies

I’ve unknowingly built the designer that I am today along the unplanned path of my life, and consciously enforced my knowledge of design through education and dedication. Through my work, and along said path, I explore the ideas of home, play, culture, politics, the senses and perception, all through a multifaceted lens of philosophy, anthropology, psychology, art, and technology- applied through the design thinking process. Now, I design for knowledge, for change and for the people. I believe in pure research, integrity and quality. And I desire to challenge all boundaries.
